France Initiatives

There are several Business and Biodiversity initiatives in France. The French Initiative for Business and Biodiversity was created in 2013 to encourage the exchange of good practice and experience on how to improve the conservation of biodiversity. Respect Ocean was created on 2013, and serves as a non-profit organization that brings together companies committed to sustainable economic development in favor of the protection and preservation of the ocean, the coast, and their ecosystems and biodiversity. |

Germany Initiative

Launched in 2008, the ‘Biodiversity in Good Company’ Initiative aims to engage businesses in support of the goals of the CBD as well as to initiate and share experiences related to entrepreneurial biodiversity management. The Initiative members are small-, medium-, and large-scale companies from Germany and other countries and a variety of sectors. |
