A second regional workshop for countries of Europe, on capacity development for national biodiversity strategies and action plans (NBSAPs) and biodiversity mainstreaming, was held on the
Isle of Vilm, Germany, from 13 to 17 June 2009. The workshop was organized by the Secretariat in collaboration with, and support of, the International Academy for Nature Conservation on the Isle of Vilm, a division of the German Federal Agency for Nature Conservation (BfN).
