Following the adoption of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework in December 2022, the CBD Secretariat, in collaboration with partner organizations, embarked on an exercise to identify and map key initiatives and partnerships supporting the implementation of the Framework and the national biodiversity strategies and action plans (NBSAPs).

A non-exhaustive list of initiatives and partnerships supporting Parties and relevant stakeholders to implement the Framework has been prepared with the aim to promote their awareness and to foster collaboration, synergy and complementarity among them while ensuring their effective and efficient implementation. For ease of reference, the initiatives and partnerships have been grouped under different categories, including: regional and global initiatives, partnerships, programmes and projects, funds, coalitions and networks, communities of practice, and knowledge platforms and services.
