Twelfth meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity

Beyond Tigers would highlight the manner in which tigers promote (and could further promote) CBD objectives, particularly Aichi Targets 11 and 12. The event will highlight how tiger conservation efforts have mobilized funds which protect the wider ecosystems in which the species is found, thus also protecting a diverse range of species. In addition the event will address themes of transboundary cooperation, the dissemination of best practice for protected area management through the growth of Conservation Assured |Tiger Standards (CA|TS), as well as preliminary efforts towards reintroducing the species to Central Asia (Kazakhstan specifically).
