Relation of biodiversity and fishery is regarded competitive frequently. However, good practices show the integrated aspects of environmental conservation and sustainable fisheries. 10 academic societies on coastal environment in Japan organize the multi-sectoral and interdisciplinary symposium on fishery. Organizers hope to discuss this rather difficult theme based on science to step into the next aspects.
