The purpose of this notification is to inform you that, in consultation with the Chair of SBSTTA-12 and with the generous financial support of UNEP’s Division of Environmental Conventions, a brainstorming meeting of the past, present and future Chairs of SBSTTA is being convened on 24 and 25 July 2006, kindly hosted by the Muséum National d’Histoire Naturelle, in Paris, France. This session will identify ways and means to enhance the scientific underpinning of SBSTTA and improve the effectiveness of this body, in light of the Convention’s Strategic Plan and the 2010 target.
