The Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity joins the rest of the world in celebrating the International Year of Deserts and Desertification. In keeping with the spirit of these celebrations, the Secretariat invites countries that encompass desert areas to provide pictures for posting on the Secretariat’s website to highlight the beauty of these barren lands and reveal the wonders they conceal.
