The document highlights how the Strategic Plan for Biodiversity 2011-2020 and its 20 Aichi Biodiversity Targets contribute to the achievement of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and its 17 Sustainable Development Goals. The publication comprises two editions: Technical Note: provides detailed mapping of the linkages between the SDGs and the 20 Aichi Biodiversity Targets. (English | العربية | Español | Français ) Policy Brief: presents illustrative examples from countries on how biodiversity can contribute to the most directly related SDGs. Biodiversity Guidance for Preparing Voluntary National Reviews A guidance document was prepared by the Secretariat of the CBD to assist parties to the convention with reflecting the important cross-cutting role of biodiversity in their Voluntary National Reviews (VNRs) presented to the High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development.
