Description The report presents the findings of the “Payment for Environmental Services in the Americas” project (1999-2003), coordinated by the Salvadoran Research Program on Development and Environment (PRISMA) and supported by the Ford Foundation, as well as PRISMA’s framework for the compensation of environmental services from the perspective of peasant and indigenous communities. This framework has been developed under PRISMA´s general research program and has been made possible from support of the Ford Foundation, SIDA, SDC and NOVIB.
