Review of a 1995 study by Niskanen which aimed to evaluate if tree plantations do indeed promote economic development by providing sufficient financial and economic returns from the reforestation investment. The study also sought to assess what the socio-economic and environmental-economic impacts of thee planting in Luzon (the main island of the Philippines) would be. |
