In further support of the series of regional and sub-regional workshops for revising and updating NBSAPs, a follow-up capacity-building workshop for Southern African countries, focused specifically on the economics of ecosystems and biodiversity as an important tool for biodiversity mainstreaming, was held in
Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, from 27 February to 1 March 2012.
This follow-up workshop was financed through the continuing support of Japan and other donors. It was organized by the Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity, in collaboration with the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (ECA).
