Krishna Chandra Paudel, CBD Focal Point and Coordinator, National Coordination Committee for International Biodiversity Day informs the Secretariat that the CBD Focal Ministry in partnership with various NGOs and Civil Society is organizing the events marking International Biodiversity Day on 22nd May. It is hoped that the events will encourage the younger generation of Nepal. There is to be a three-day Biodiversity Fair, combined with a food festival and watershed and wetland-related demonstration. It is hoped that the Crown Prince/Prime Minister will inaugurate the programme.
