Preparatory Meetings for the Consultative Workshop on the Achievement of the 2010 Biodiversity Target in Dry and Sub-humid Lands.
In paragraph 11 (e) of decision VIII/2, on the biological diversity of dry and sub-humid lands, the Conference of the Parties (COP) to the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) requests the Executive Secretary, in collaboration with the Executive Secretary of the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD), to convene a consultative workshop on the achievement of the 2010 biodiversity target in dry and sub-humid lands. At the kind invitation of Italy, the consultative workshop will be held in Rome in 2008.
