The Ministry of Regional Municipalities, Environment and Water Resources, department of coordination and follow-up informs that in celebration of the International Day for Biological Diversity, the following activities were carried out in different parts of the Sultanate of Oman:
- Cleaning of Beaches
- Awareness Campaigns that includes the installation of awareness panels
- Public awareness activities including home visits to explain the importance of the occasion
- Distribution of General booklets dealing with the environment
- Distribution of leaflets on biological diversity
- Delivering of lectures in some wilayats of the Sultanate
- Conducting of Radio Interviews
- Publication of articles focusing on the celebration in local newspapers
