The free Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) on Peace Park Development and Management was offered on the Learning for Nature online learning platform, funded by the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Korea through the Peace and Biodiversity Dialogue Initiative.

The course focused on building the skills necessary for participants to make a strong case for the development of Peace Parks and other Transboundary Conservation Areas (TBCAs).

Overall, the evaluation of the course showed that the MOOC provided a key mechanism to build the capacity of biodiversity policymakers and practitioners and increase awareness about how conservation and environmental peacebuilding can go hand-in-hand, providing resounding evidence surrounding its effectiveness in building and developing the capacity of an incredibly diverse group of learners and policymakers.

Offered a comprehensive guide on Peace Park establishment;
Guided participants in making a strong case for Peace Park development;
Imbued participants with the necessary skills required to effectively plan, establish and manage Peace Parks;
Addressed the challenges associated with the creation and management of transboundary conservation areas.
