Several of the following documents are taken from the working draft "Mobilizing Funding for Biodiversity Conservation: A User-friendly Training Guide for Understanding, Selecting, and Implementing Conservation Finance Mechanisms", prepared in 2001. The guide was developed with the financial support and encouragement of the Biodiversity Planning Support Programme (BPSP), a GEF-funded project jointly implemented by UNDP and UNEP. Additional support was provided by the C.S. Mott Foundation. The draft was coordinated by The Nature Conservancy, as part of its Initiative for Innovative Conservation Finance (IICF).
