We participated as a non profit organization at COP10, Nagoya Japan. Some specialist of communication gathered and we established this organization on May 28, 2011. We included five IUCN-CEC members (IUCN Commission on Education and Communication). We held civil events with local governments and mass-medias. We are also a member of the UNDB Japan Commission.

The Global Development Research Center is an independent non-profit think tank that carries out initiatives in the spheres of environment, urban, community, economy and information, and at scales that are effective. GDRC's foray into the theme of biodiversity began with the Kyoto Protocol and it's COP3 held in Kyoto in 1997. In order to highlight the interconnectedness of the 'Big Three' conventions - Climate Change, biodiversity and desertification, GDRC developed the "Trialogue" initiative, particularly focussing on the role of NGOs in the three conventions.

MiLCA is a life cycle assessment (LCA) support system. The default database supports users to quantify an amount of water and other abiotic resources use and emissions (e.g. CO2 and SOx). These resource use and emissions can be converted to monetary value by using LIME2 method.

The Nagoya Environmental Organization (NEO) is a student environment organization in Nagoya, Aichi prefecture. The members are mostly junior and high school students. Before the organization was created, many members participated in the COP 10 side-events, at the International Children's Conference and at the International Youth Conference. With the help of the local government and non-profit organizations, the NEO have already started to do activities concerning the results that were mentioned in the discussions from the Youth Children side-events at COP10.

For sixty years, the Nature Conservation Society of Japan (NACS-J) is an independent and advocacy NGO dedicated to the conservation of ecosystems and biological diversity. To achieve the conservation of nature in-situ and making everyone a local nature conservationist, they have created policy recommendations, conservation movements, environmental education, research and studies. OPRT is an international NGO to promote responsible tuna fisheries with the aim to enesure sustainable use of tuna resources. OPRT represents all stakeholders in tuna fisheries, including major tuna fishing operations in the world, as well as traders, distributors and consumers in Japan.

Tanada Network aims at conservation of terraced paddy fields. They consider terraced paddy fields as good farmland, biodiversity resource and tourist resource, and assist farming at terraced paddy fields.

The APN is a network of 22 member governments in the Asia-Pacific whose vision is to enable countries in the region to successfully address global change (GC) challenges through science-based response strategies and measures, effective science and policy linkages, and scientific capacity development. APN supports regional cooperation in GC and sustainable development issues, particularly in developing countries. It strengthens interactions among scientists and policy-makers and strives to provide scientific input to policy decision-making and scientific knowledge to the public. APN cooperates with GC networks and organisations and links the research it sponsors with the research conducted in other regions.

UE-net is network NGO, and it is composed of 13 environmental protection activity groups being set up by the university in the region in Hiroshima. Biodiversity is an important theme in our activity, and we want to work from the aspect only of the young generation positively. We hope to participate in this campaign by all means in the activity of the fiscal year 2011 that starts in June. UE-net calls for the diffusion of knowledge and understanding to an environmental problem that makes the best use of university student's aspect while cooperating with the region, the enterprise, and the administration through various opportunities. We go out to the event in the region and the school, and press the diffusion of knowledge and the action on biodiversity through the picture story show; to children and offers of the experience activity.
