Aims to determine the regulations or guidelines for the establishment of environmental quality technical standards in receiving environments, and the mechanisms for the application of those standards relating to the protection of the atmosphere, water, soil and bio-diversity . The Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources (MARN, Spanish acronym) and the National Committee for Science and Technology are responsible for ensuring compliance. The latter issues quality standards and MARN monitors its enforcement. It regulates the determination of Dumping and Emissions Limits (pollutants) in the Environmental Permit issued by MARN based on information submitted by the project owner in the Environmental Impact Study.

This festival seeks to raise awareness to Salvadorians about the individual and social benefits and for the entire planet that are achieved with the practice of healthy nutrition and natural, the conscious use of natural resources and the respect for all living beings on planet earth .
