BioNET-PACINET is a taxonomic network for the Pacific Islands; a regional node of BioNET-International. It is a partnership administered by the Secretariat for the Pacific Community, the Secretariat of the Regional Environment Programme and the University of the South Pacific on behalf of the governments of the Pacific Island Countries and Territories. BioNET-PACINET coordinates the network on taxonomy by focusing on taxonomy as a service to agriculture, fisheries, forestry, conservation and sustainable development.
