To raise awareness on the vital linkages between biodiversity and health in the context of global changes, on the International Day for Biodiversity, on 22 May 2018, the World Health Organization and the Convention on Biological Diversity, with a number of partners launched a new educational module on biodiversity and health jointly prepared for a Massive Open Online Course on “Global Health at the Human-Animal-Ecosystem Interface” which was produced in partnership with the University of Geneva, Institute Pasteur and its global network.

The online course is offered free of charge and is the first open and free online course that addresses One Health, Ecohealth and Planetary Health approaches.
