Technical and Scientific Cooperation Technical and Scientific Cooperation Informal Advisory Group on Technical and Scientific Cooperation TSC Mechanism Subregional TSC Support Centres Global Coordination Entity Access to and Transfer of TechnologyBio-Bridge InitiativeConsortium of Scientific PartnersKnowledge FairsLifeWeb for Financing Protected Areas Technical and Scientific Cooperation // Global Coordination Entity Wednesday // 10.2.2024 Core Functions of the Global Coordination Entity In accordance with decision 15/8, paragraph 27, the core functions of the global coordination entity are the following: To facilitate coordination, collaboration and synergies among the regional and/or subregional centres; To facilitate the sharing of experiences and lessons learned among the network members; To coordinate a standardized approach in the delivery of support tools; To mobilize additional resources for the technical and scientific cooperation programmes of the regional and/or subregional centres; To operate a global helpdesk to provide information, advice and technical support at the request of the regional and/or subregional centres; To ensure balance and equity among regions while implementing the technical and scientific cooperation mechanism’s mandate to facilitate access to information on opportunities for technical and scientific cooperation; To support the regional and/or subregional centres to align their work with the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework and the implementation of the Convention; and To assist the regional and/or subregional centres in the reporting of their work for the consideration of the Conference of the Parties.
