Pacific Invasives Initiative
The goal of the
Pacific Invasives Initiative (PII) is to contribute to the conservation of island biodiversity and the sustainability of livelihoods of the Pacific people by minimising the spread and impacts of invasive species within the Pacific Region. It works with government agencies, NGOs, community-based organisations, and teams of the
Pacific Invasives Learning Network to strengthen their capacity to select, assess the feasibility, design and plan, implement, monitor, evaluate and report on their invasive species management projects. This is achieved through the provision of technical support and advice, peer review, training, and information on invasive species and their management. PII also facilitates access to experts and skill-sharing exchanges.
