The Irish Environmental Network celebrates the International Day for Biological Diversity 2009
Irish NGOs are celebrating biodiversity with various programmes coordinated by
The Irish Environmental Network (IEN), which represents
thirty NGOs.
Apart from celebrating the International Day for Biological Diversity, the Department of the Environment has designated a full
week of celebrations running from the 17th to the 24th of May 2009.
Forest Friends Ireland has a programme which runs from April 12th to May 25th.
These programmes are run in conjunction with the Department of the Environment and the National Parks and Wildlife Service.
