Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change The Secretariat has produced a number of documents about biodiversity and climate change adaptation and mitigation in the context of the UNFCCC deliberations: UNFCCC COP-15, Copenhagen, 2009UNFCCC COP-21, Paris, 2015 International Day for Biological Diversity 2007 In acknowledgement of the mounting threats and opportunities associated with climate change and biodiversity, the 2007 International Day for Biological Diversity (IDB), on 22 May 2007, was celebrated under the theme “Biodiversity and Climate Change”.
