Celebrating Biodiversity Day in Jamaica
The Natural History Division of the Institute of Jamaica, which is the Focal Point for the CHM for Jamaica, hosted a Biodiversity Symposium in the capital city on Monday, May 22nd. The Symposium was comprised of six(6) oral presentations and approximately 50 poster presentations on all aspects of biodiversity conservation in Jamaica, with a lot of attention placed on Drylands biodiversity.
The event was well attended (over 100 persons). The media was in full support, including a live broadcast of the event on radio.
