In celebration of IBD, the Luis Ángel Arango Library, in Bogotá City, in collaboration with the Alexander Von Humboldt Institute, GEF and Javeriana University organized a series of conferences titled, “Biodiverse Colombia: Our City facing Climate Change.” The purpose of the conferences was to raise awareness of known mitigation and adaptation measures to climate change, and to sensitize the citizens on the importance of biodiversity conservation in all areas of Colombia, but especially those near and within the city.
