The Ministry of Urbanization and Environment (MINUA) held, on 22-23 May a seminar series on the assessment of the implementation of the Kyoto Protocol in the country as one of the main activities to commemorate the International Day for Biological Diversity. The series was made up of two sessions. The first, on Tuesday, was chaired by the Premier’s Assistant Minister, Aguinaldo Jaime, and held in the Congress Hall in Luanda. The second was a more technical session and included a guest lecturer from Sao Paulo University, Professor Jacques Marcovitch. Participants to these sessions included representatives from different ministries, universities, oil companies, energy and industry firm experts and members of civil society.
