Flora and Fauna Discovery Walks, 22 May 2013
The United Nations have designated 22 May as the "International Day for Biological Diversity" with the aim of increasing understanding and awareness of biodiversity issues. This year, the theme is "Water and Biodiversity," to coincide with the UN's designation of 2013 as International Year of Water Cooperation.

On this special day, the Department of the Environment is joining forces with the Mercantour National Park for two flora and fauna "discovery walks," which will be accompanied by a guide:

"Insects" departing from Sospel
