National Celebrations of the International Day for Biological Diversity 2013, 13-18 May 2013
The Ministry of Environment, Protection of Nature and Sustainable Development organised a week-long celebration of the International Day for Biodiversity 2013:

Federation of Environmental and Ecological Diversity for Agricultural Revampment and Human Rights (FEEDAR & HR), Kwakwa Bakundu, 22 May 2013
It’s been an incredible experience supporting the most environmentally friendly celebration. Participants were in an open space debating, dialoguing, and the traditional exchanges of ideas on messages from the United Nations Secretary General, Ban Ki Moon, and heads of the various UN Agencies, the Aichi Targets, the World We Want, Rio+20 and the Green Economy.

Participants actively planted trees and the activity was followed by the distribution of polythene bags to all participants to take away and to continue tree planting even after the celebrations.

What more attention could one think of than this special ceremony without the use of electricity, without adding CO2 into the atmosphere, reducing carbon footprints, active tree planting involving communities and people on the ground, and best examples to those directly attached to the Natural resources?
