National Biodiversity Centre (Venue: Babesa Middle Secondary School)
The National Biodiversity Centre, Ministry of Agriculture and Forests, Serbithang, Thimphu in collaboration with Babesa Middle Secondary School, organize and coordinate Bhutan’s celebrations of the International Day for Biological Diversity 2013:
- Essay and drawing competition for school children from primary till high school on the theme “Water and Biodiversity”. Essay entries will be received from all schools around the country while for drawing, due to logistics problem, entries will be only from schools around Thimphu. Publication of best essays and drawing after the event for distribution to schools.
- Quiz and prepared talk on the theme “Water and Biodiversity”; competition within one selected school.
- Issuing messages for public awareness and education on the theme as inserts in the country’s leading newspaper(s).
